Visiting Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach: Hours, Tickets, Parking and Tips

Palm-lined path near the water in West Palm Beach

When guests want a quiet hour outdoors with art instead of a big museum day, I send them to Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. It's a two-acre tropical garden on a residential street south of downtown, with monumental sculptures, rare palms, a historic house and the artist's studio. Here's what I'd want a friend staying in West Palm Beach to know before going, with the details checked against the gardens' own visitor pages in November 2026.

One important distinction up front: this is not the Norton Museum of Art. The museum is on South Dixie Highway. Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is a separate site on Barcelona Road, built around the work of sculptor Ann Weaver Norton. They make a nice art day together, but they are different places with different hours, tickets and parking.

Where it is and parking

Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is at 253 Barcelona Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, just off South Flagler Drive. From I-95, take Okeechobee Boulevard east to South Flagler, then head south about half a mile to Barcelona. From Palm Beach, cross Royal Palm Way (the middle bridge) and continue south on Flagler to Barcelona.

There is no dedicated parking lot. You'll park on-street on Barcelona Road in a quiet residential neighborhood — be considerate and don't block driveways. On Palm Sundays jazz concert days, the gardens direct parking to the North Entrance via Palm Beach Day Academy at 1901 S. Flagler Drive.

If you're visiting without a car, rideshare is the practical option. The site also mentions the free Circuit shuttle for locals; my guide to getting around West Palm Beach without a car covers rideshare and the rest of the city. The gardens sit close enough to Flagler that they pair easily with a Palm Beach island day if you're already exploring that stretch of waterfront.

Hours and season

  • Wednesday through Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday and Tuesday: closed
  • Season: October through June

The Monday–Tuesday closure catches people, so don't plan a midweek garden day on those days. The posted season is October through June. If you're visiting in summer, check ansg.org or call (561) 832-5328 before you go — hours can change outside the main season.

Tickets

As of November 2026:

  • Members: free
  • Adults: $15
  • Seniors: $10
  • Children / students: $7
  • Military (active, reserves, National Guard and veterans): 20% off with valid ID

Service animals are welcome on a leash or harness. Group tours are available at museum admission plus $5 per person (minimum 10 people); contact the gardens if you're planning one. Exhibitions and garden tours rotate through the season, so I'd glance at ansg.org the week you visit rather than rely on a fixed list.

What you'll see

You're walking through a National Register of Historic Places property: the historic Norton House, Ann Weaver Norton's artist studio, two acres of rare palms and tropical plantings, and her monumental brick and stone sculptures set among the gardens. The mission is simple — enrich lives with nature, art and history — and the place feels like that: quiet, residential and unhurried.

An hour or two is enough for most guests. Paths include paved and gravel sections; the gardens are wheelchair accessible that way, and the Norton House is reachable by a vertical platform lift (32.5 inches wide by 53 inches deep, 750 lb max). It sits well next to a morning at Mounts Botanical Garden if you want a full outdoor day, or as the calmer half of an art day with the Norton Museum.

Palm Sundays jazz (winter season)

If you're here between December and March, the Eighth Annual Jazz in the Gardens series is worth knowing about. Concerts land on the second Sunday of each month, 1–3 p.m., weather permitting. Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for members and seniors, and $15 for children; reservations are requested. The first date of the series is December 13, 2026 (Allyson Briggs). For the full lineup and reservations, use the gardens' Palm Sundays page rather than a list that will go stale.

A few host tips

  • Go on a weekday morning in season for cooler air and quieter paths.
  • Don't confuse it with the Norton Museum. Different address, different tickets — and both are worth a visit if you like art.
  • Park politely. On-street residential parking only; leave driveways clear.
  • Summer visitor? Confirm hours on ansg.org or by phone before you head over.
  • Build a half-day. Sculpture gardens first while it's cooler, then the Norton Museum — or fold it into a first-timers weekend or our top attractions list.

Hours, prices and events can change, so give the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens visit page a quick look before you go. If you're staying with us at West Palm BnBs, we're happy to help you plan the morning.
